I sent in my ED application around October 25 or so, and have already interviewed with a Dartmouth alum. Dartmouth definitely has my application on file, but oddly I still haven't received a confirmation email with my username and password to check my status. I tried requesting an email automatically from Dartmouth's "Check your status" page, but none of my emails are valid. I'm thinking I just wrote down the wrong email on my suppliment (which I did do by hand and mailed in a month or two ago).

So, is anybody else still waiting on that email?

Ya I’m in the same situation. I have an interview on Wednesday so I know they have my materials on file. I’m not really sure what the deal is but I’m not gonna worry about it. I’m not sure if anybody who submitted their app close to the deadline has got the confirmation email yet. I may be wrong though.

What is the purpose of the username anyway?

It is to check your application status. Dartmouth gives you the info on whether or not they have all of your application materials. This is also where you can log on to find out your admissions decision.

I’m applying ED (I double-checked this to be true on the common app site), but when I log in, I’m greeted with this message:

re: Your Regular Decision Application

Dear eastbound,

We have received all materials necessary to begin the review of your Regular Decision application. Should we have any questions or require further materials from you, we will contact you directly via email or telephone. If you have not already done so, please check your email address to be sure we have your current email on record.

Candidates will be notified of their admissions decisions at the beginning of April.

We appreciate your interest in Dartmouth and are pleased to be evaluating your application.

Sincerely,

The Dartmouth Admissions Staff

I plan to call the office and clear this up, but I’m wondering if anyone else has gotten this message?
