ED Wharton

I really want to apply to Wharton ED, but I don't think my chances are very good and that luck will play a major part in my acceptance. Should I apply ED to a school that I'll have a much better chance in (but not as much as I want Wharton) or continue to apply ED for Wharton?

Apply ED to Wharton! Wharton seems to be your number one choice, and it is better to apply ED then to look back and think what could’ve been. If there is any other school you think you have a better chance in, apply there RD (or EA if non-binding… depending on UPenn’s ED policy).

Besides, you need safeties… which, as you may know, are schools you will most likely be accepted into.

Im also looking into Columbia College which I want to go to as well: Do i have a better chance there…?

Both are very competitive schools. Realistically, you may have a better chance in one school than the other, but that is something we, as applicants, cannot percieve–only the AOs can. Therefore, I cannot tell you if you have a better chance at Columbia.

Are you hesitating on which school to apply to early?

Columbia University*

Yeah, im not sure whether to apply columbia college, columbia engineering, or wharton. I’m just hovering over wharton and columbia in general because there are quite a bit of outstanding people applying from my school to wharton ED, and i think i may have a better chance at columbia because of this.

I have that problem as well.

I had that problem as well; I was torn between Wharton and Duke but I’ve decided Wharton because I love the program, campus and ideas that spawn from Wharton and decided that either go big or go home! You only get one ED so use it for what you love!

I also had a tough time choosing between Duke and Wharton (wasn’t expecting admission by either). Went with Wharton, starting this fall.
