Basically I’m an American that moves around a lot for my parent’s job. At the time of graduation, I’ll have spent 10 years living abroad, across three instances. I don’t need financial aid, but would be interested in merit based aid provided that it doesn’t slander my chances. I’m a strong essay writer (predicted 777 in my HL’s) and will be having strong rec’s .

If I’m completely out of my league, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Also, any questions for clarification, feel free to ask

You definitely have a chance of being admitted and have a very “CMC” set of extracurricular activities. The essay will be very important for you to explain what you will bring to the campus community. Lots of CMCers have lived abroad or are international students themselves, so that could be a good place for you to tell about why your background and perspective is unique. If possible, I’d try to take advantage of alumni interviews as well. I don’t know how often they conduct them outside of the US but it is worth checking into once they release that on the website in mid/late August. The other thing you might consider is reaching out to the track/XC coaches if you have good times, scores, etc… Even if you aren’t 100% sure you want to continue this in college, CMC is a big school for DIII athletes and coaches often have some power in the admissions review.

I hope this helps! Good luck!

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

You look like a great candidate. Cool ECs - I did mock trial and MUN in high school and looking to join CMC’s MUN team, too. Good luck!
