ED1 Submitting First Quarter Grade?

Hey guys, I applied ED1 to Emory College, and on their website it says that ED1 students are encouraged to request the counselor to submit their first quarter grades. I know it is not “required”, but I am not sure if I should still send it…
I maintained a good GPA until my junior year, but then this year I got a B in one of my dual enrollment classes, and my GPA dropped…
My school does not offer that many advanced level classes (no AP/IB classes in fact), so my schedule is definitely not as rigorous as other Emory applicants’, and I am worried that it is going to hurt my chance if they see my grade is dropped.

Well so, should I still send it since all ED1 applicants are encouraged to do so?
Or should I just wait until the mid-year report come out (which will be after the decision date) to send my transcript?

Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

the way my counselor told me is, if you don’t submit it, they assume you have terrible grades. If you do submit, at least they will know you didn’t totally flank since most applicants who don’t submit end up with horrible senior gpas

Don’t forget that universities look at your courses in the context of your high school. If your school doesn’t offer AP/IB, so, there is no way that any school can hold it against you if you haven’t taken ‘rigorous courses.’

so it’s better to send the first quarter grade even though I have one B… :frowning:
thanks guys

They will request the grades from your school; I don’t think you will need to do anything extra.
