EDERS: Is it bad when the Admissions Office calls you to say you are missing somethin

Hey,

I submitted all my material to my ED university, Duke, and I received a call that they were missing my artistic material (a DVD) for my supplemental form. Before the deadline I spoke to the adcom and said I will send it by November 10th becuase the compnay that I have employed to compile the DVD has taken extra time. I have sent it in November 14th because the DVD didn't work and I had to send it back and get another copy. The adcom agreed and was very lax about it.

In terms of my college, Duke, They have everything else in terms of the "main" forms from essays, transcripts, and reccs. The adcom lady said (in a voicemail) to please send it in by the end of this week. I hope that they do not get upset or look negatively on such an issue as tardiness.

Thanks.

I can't imagine they will. The worst case scenario is that they don't consider it in the application process...which, seeing that it's supplemental material, may not be that big of a deal.

I honestly wouldn't worry about if. If you have what it takes to get in you will.

sorry to steal the board.. but one of my teacher's didn't send in her recommendation yet b/c of a death in the family, and even though she says it won't affect me negatively (since its really nobody's fault) i'm really scared that it might hurt my chancces

Yikes! I'd get that teacher to call Duke, and I'd find another teacher to write a rec ASAP.
