<p>I just got an e-mail from Duke that I was missing an unspecified application material, but when I went to check the D, I discovered I was only missing the OPTIONAL artistic supplement.</p>
<p>Did anyone else get the e-mail in the same situation? Has anyone contacted the admissions office yet or can advise on what I should do? </p>

<p>Interesting.. The D tells me I'm missing my Teacher Evaluations, School Report, and Transcript. I sent everything through CommonApp, and my other CommonApp schools that have filed the stuff listed all these school forms as being received.</p>
<p>Oh, and my arts supplement is apparently missing as well when I explicitly stated I would not be sending one.</p>

I sent everything through CommonApp (Teacher Evaluations, School Report, Transcript) and didn't have an arts supplement, but it says both my arts supplement (which I didn't apply for) and my Teacher Evaluations (which have showed up at different schools that I've submitted the CommonApp to) are missing. I'll be calling them on Monday to clarify the situation.</p>
<p>For those of you being asked about the "art supplement", what department did you apply to at Duke? I understand that you did not intend to include an "art supplement"---just interested.</p>
<p>Is this "art supplement" the "optional artistic material" on the application checklist on The D? Because if it is, I think it would be fine if The D says they don't have it (it's optional).</p>
<p>Also, Duke says they have my transcript but not my Secondary School Report and Counselor Rec even though my school sends out all 3 of these together. Plus, my other 8 Common App schools have received all of these items.</p>

<p>Just for reference, I applied as an Economics major so I can't imagine why my art ability would be relevant (although I have taken art classes before). I am also quite certain that I did not say that I was sending an arts supplement.</p>
<p>UPDATE: I called and apparently they sent that before they processed my SSR. So, yes, the optional artistic material is really optional.. especially for econ majors.</p>
<p>hey I got a question about the fee status on common app. I paid the fee months ago and it's still not downloaded...anybody in the same situation?
All the other things- application for duke and other unis are 'downloaded' except the fee for Duke...
It's now Feb and it doesn't seem to be right...</p>
