What schools did you apply to but now are withdrawing your applications?

I found out last week I also got accepted to Michigan. I'm also withdrawing from Penn, Brown, MIT (deferred), Maryland (local), George Washington (local), and McGill (because Bush won, j/k).

Yale, Georgetown, Harvard, Columbia, Duke, Darmouth, Penn State, Binghamton, Hofstra, GWU, NYU ... I think that's it.

Very glad to be accepted to Cornell :) I know this is a dream come true for many of us. And I can't wait to meet the class of '09 this coming August.

I'm either a total optimist or completely lazy. I only applied to Cornell.

Tulane and Penn State, my safeties. I was going to wait for my ED decision from Cornell before applying to other reaches/matches; luckily, I didn't need to.

Of course, there appears to be no way to withdraw from Penn State, and Tulane doesn't seem to be acknowledging my withdrawal -- annoying.

i will withdraw from u mich tomorrow....i just keep procrastinating

Rutgers
Hopkins
UPenn
Columbia
Carnegie Mellon
UMich
Northwestern

haha same here hotelie
only applied to cornell

i was waiting until i got the decision to Cornell to send the applications, i had them all done already, so i didn't have to withdraw or send any of my other apps, but these were my other schools

University of Virginia
Virginia Tech
George Mason University
Carnegie Mellon

but basically I only applied to Cornell

Withdrawing from Wisconsin(roll), Michigan(roll), Tulane(EA), Pittsburgh(roll), Boston College(deferred). Cancelled Northwestern, Hopkins, Dartmouth, Richmond.

Harvard, Yale, Brown, Upenn, UMichigan, Lehigh...

I still have to do that...

Penn State, Dartmouth

Hey, this is unrelated, but I want to see what you guys think (it kinda relates to this thread). Go to the thread where loserkev is asking about what school he should go to and read my response. I'm just curious.

I am really glad to hear a response like that perro. One of the reasons why I applied early to CU was because of the hard work ethic/school spirt of the students (and alumni). I think myself and a lot of other people (ED/RD) on this board have worked their asses off trying to get into Cornell because it is their first choice instituition.

Good to hear that, man.

Part of what makes Cornell different from (and better than) schools like Penn and Brown is the large-scale absence of self-conscious, elitist kids like that who think they own the world and can choose their university on a whim.

I was too lazy to start applying to other schools, and I was pretty confident I would get in, so all I have are my safeties: Penn State and Florida (already accepted into my super-safety, UCF).

i had...
Washington University in St. Louis
Stanford University
Georgetown University
Emory University
University of Notre Dame
Claremont McKenna
Wellesley
University of Virginia
UCLA
UC Berkeley

...they are all really good schools,
i wasted alot of money on the apps
but our counselor set us a deadline to Dec. 1
so I had to do the schools I liked....
But i'm really glad i got into Cornell :D

Hah, Penn State and UF, rock on.

Those were my safeties too. :)

i didn't apply to any other schools, not even safeties. i figured i could just cram those applications, if i didn't get into cornell, for the jan. 1st deadline

luckily i didn't have to.

I only applied to Cornell :)
I was waiting for my rejection before I bothered filling out the others
...but I was accepted
