Withdrawing applications...

Now that we've been accepted ED, how do we go about withdrawing other applications? :)

Call or fax the other schools.

Do we still need to withdraw the applications for safety schools? I always thought that Cornell won't care unless its another Ivy or school of equal calibur.

I believe we do have to withdraw them all...its just a formality, I don't know what's actually required and what's not...

Yes, it is all schools, although from past people I've seen, sometimes it's unaviodable and you get accepted somewhere else, in which you would just tell them you're not going to attend.

I heard its illegal if you don't withdraw
It is part of the contract

Should I withdraw apps from colleges where I've only submitted the part 1(personal information)?

Wait...When do I have to withdraw apps by?

ditto rebok,

i also applied to ucberkeley and illinois urbanachampaign and i want to see if i can get in. can i withdrawl after i get notification of the other two schools? illinois is rolling and i think berkeley was regular.

Honestly, if you want to make sure everything goes well after getting in ed, just call each school, tell them your name etc etc, that you would like to be withdrawed because you got in ed, and that should be that.

Best to get it done rather now than later, it didn't take too long for me.

It's part of the agreement you made with Cornell when you applied ED.

You are required to withdraw them. Thats the main purpose of ED; to reduce unnecessary work for everyone.

Question again; even if it is only a part 1?
