EDII Applicants

Did any of you guys ask to interview? Has anyone gotten an interview? I’m just wondering if it’s ever happening or if it looks like they weren’t able to get me one.

I didn’t get an interview. I’m applying as an econ major. do we find out on the 25th or the first?

Didn’t ask for an interview–it seemed to me like it was more informational than admissions-related. As for when we find out…looks like it could be either or anywhere in between  That’s going to be a super fun week…

Last years EDII decisions were post marked on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. A few local people got them on January 28th, Most of the Easct Coast by Friday, January 29 and the rest of the country on Saturday January 30 or Monday, Feb 1. If they follow a similiar pattern this year, it should mail out around Wednesday, January 26 and show up between January 27 and January 31 depending on where you live.

EDI decisions were available online. It seems likely that EDII will happen the same way, and very soon you should get an email letting you know when to tune in and hit the REFRESH button! ;o) Good luck!

They did say ‘At the appropriate time, you will also be able to use this log in information to access your admission decision online’.

gosh. less than 10 more days. really anxious. what are the things that prompted you guys to apply ED to vassar? Trying to digress to make the wait easier.

Ah! It’s coming so quickly! I really love the size and I did an overnight visit and the people were soooo nice. I really loved the small community at my high school so I definitely wanted it in college.

I’m from Philadelphia, by the way.

I also did an overnight visit and the students were so easy to get along with and ridiculously interesting and welcoming. I had the greatest time there. That definitely finalized my decision to apply ED, along with many other reasons.
It was the first college I ever really visited, and I always had the feeling it was the right place for me. Whenever I think about college, I picture Vassar in my mind, and I can easily see myself there. No other place compares.
Hahah, writing this post is making me feel so giddy! and anxious for the decision!!

Oh. my. goodness. the wait just feels so eternal!!!

Best things about Vassar:

1) the intimate size
2) the incredibly interesting (but unpretentious!) people
3) the beautiful campus (that looks like it was the set for the harry potter movies [lake included!])
4) the sense of community and house-pride
5) the brilliant professors who actually WANT to be professors
6) the barefoot monkeys!
7) the dorms/houses that actually feel like homes
8) the fact that it makes me THIS EXCITED to spend the next four years of my life studying! :)

As Mcgroovy said,

I’m from Lebanon, but I visited over the summer :)

So wait - does that mean we find out online on the 26th?!?!?

So guys–this week is the week! INSANE.

IM SO NERVOUS AH.
I’ve literally fallen in love with the school.

“At this late stage in the application process, the online checklist for Early Decision II applicants to Vassar has been closed. Please check back for your decision after 5:00pm on January 28th.”

Wad! U must be kidding me! Gosh 5 more days till the official results. :(:(:frowning: im so anxious about it. Im so deeply in love with this school i think im starting to verge on being stalkish. Stalkin vassar’s site, blog, cc and youtube everyday! anyone’s with me on this?

Omg. I know exactly how you feel.
Now that I know the specific time…
I’m dying. I would rather have a surprise and be caught of guard.
WAHHH

@samisbound
where did you get that information?

The “check your status” checklist site now says that.

hey everyone. i just created an account cause i thought i was getting left out.
ok so i’ve eded at vassar too but i’m asking for good aid and im an international applicant, well i like to think my application was decent (i got deferred from dartmouth ed1)…i eded cause all my friends who dont need aid are pretty much applying to the same schools…any thoughts??

oh and i’ve been through the wait with dartmouth…trust me its a killer!

i understand how u feel application 2014, the wait is killin yeah. Oh how i wish CC can create a LIKE button to the posts. haha. i too would rather have a surprise and be caught off guard. I cant imagine sitting in front of the comp at 4am and wait till 5am juz to click on the VIEW YOUR DECISION button. and then go through the ensuing happiness or devastation. Sigh.
