EDII Notification Time

Someone told me that it only takes 2 weeks after you submit your application for Colgate to get back to you with a decision, when you apply EDII.

Is this true, as the website lists contradictory material, but he thinks an admissions officer told him this

i’d say 3 weeks at the earliest, according to some posts on this website from last year

One of my friends got accepted EDII; she found out yesterday.

thanks dolphin, would you mind finding out when she applied, I’m really anxious.

I received my acceptance ten days after sending my application

I know one ED2 applicant this year who received the overnight delivery acceptance on 12/31.

Colgate is pretty clear that ED II acceptances are rolling. Applicants are notified within four weeks of the date on which their application is complete (including transcript, recommendations, etc.). My understanding is that letters go out each Friday. Our daughter pushed the send button on her application on November 30. Transcript, letters, etc. were in by the end of the following week, and she received her acceptance letter on December 21. Good luck!

Oh my god I don’t know that ED II acceptances are rolling! I should send my application much earlier!

haha i know i should have sent it in the day i found out that i didnt get into cornell, but w/e. still got a week to do it

I found out 2 weeks after I submitted my EDII app.

Colgate had the nicest admissions department of any school we visited, by far. No surprise that they take pity on the applicants and try to provide an answer as fast as possible. Gary Ross is my hero.

It’s great to see your enthusiasm for the welcome you felt when dealing with the Colgate admissions people.

May I suggest that you supply a visitor report to this site and describe the campus and the town? It would go some ways in giving students and parent an understanding of why Colgate is such a fine choice for so many ED and RD applicants.

Best of luck!

what the hell? its been a little over 3 weeks and i still havent heard anything from them. i checked online and saw that i submitted all the required stuff

Have patience, not hearing is a good thing. D got her rejection last week and is heartbroken.

Great! Waiting patiently for the decisions!!!
