People should be getting them in the next couple weeks, just thought I'd make this thread for speculation, and finally for sharing your decision, excitement, or disappointment (hopefully not that).

Maybe we can wake this same thread up for when RD people get their decisions too.

Hey, yeah I am really nervously waiting a decision. Does anyone know when they get sent out? I think last year people started getting them on the 8th.

Hopefully we will be at school together next year!

just wondering, how fast does carleton generally respond to emails? i emailed them once back in january, and i never got a response. but, i basically figured it out myself so i didn't really care that i wasn't answered. however, i emailed them early yesterday morning with an urgent question and i haven't heard back yet. i can see why they might be slow in january because they probably receive a ton of questions, but how fast can i expect a response now, in february? it's pretty important.

same here andreaaa i myself sent them an urgent mail day before yesterday and they still haven't replied.

also when did you guys get your status check letters?
i still haven't got mine but i got my finaid mail two days ago(dated 30th jan)- and it was sent on a slightly wrong address- luckily the postman recognized my fathers name and got the letter to us.
i think thats since the the status check letter must have been addressed to me- it probably must have been returned.

Call them! The school administratively is generally wonderfully helpful but responds best to direct contact. Emails to most colleges, especially to admission offices, can take weeks to yield responses.

hey, ellano, what did the letter look like? was it big? congrats by the way... hope to see you next year, maybe we can be roommates. :)

also, you people above should (and should HAVE long ago) called them. emailing urgent questions is a BAD idea. call them if you need something.

i filled out the preliminary app in august and recieved the letter in november.

i am going to die if i dont get the letter tomorrow . . . then i'll have to wait all of sunday until monday, or even, even later!!

The letter comes in a big envelope. Then, there is a very nice dark blue folder inside that is closed with a golden seal, or something like that. Inside of that folder is the acceptance letter.
