Hello all!

I'm a US citizen and am currently living and working in Japan. I am thinking of returning to school for a Master's in Asian/East Asian studies. I'm looking into SOAS in London as well as The University of Edinburgh. I think the programs are an appropriate fit for my goals and research interests, however, I'm a bit nervous about my undergraduate GPA. I graduated from a public U.S. institution with an overall GPA of a 3.1, although, my minor GPA in Japanese is a 3.7 and my major GPA in Anthropology is a 3.3. I'm thinking I can whip up a pretty nice SOP and get some rockin' rec. letters, but I'm just wondering how heavy of a weight undergrad GPA's carry for entry into a UK grad school. Any perspective or advice regarding the application process, GPA, etc. is welcome! Thanks!
