Why not ask the university?

You will definitely get in. International applications to Edinburgh are given automatic acceptance if they meet the minimum entry requirements.

We live in DC and my daughter attends U of E and is completing her second year in art history and is having the time of her life. She has made friends from across the globe and has stayed with friends in Turkey and Spain on vacation.

You are very likely to be admitted. I am an attorney and I think this is a brilliant idea. I am assuming that you intend to ultimately practice law in the U.S. If I am correct, a few states, like NY, will allow you to take the bar exam right after you graduate with a LLB from any common law country (you will, like everyone else, have to take a NY bar review course). Many other jurisdictions, like DC, allow you to take the bar exam if you have a foreign law degree after a one year Masters of Law - and several DC law schools, such as American University, have a special one year masters for graduates of foreign law schools who wan to practice in the U.S. The point is that if you obtain an undergraduate law degree at Edinburgh or elsewhere in the UK, you can be admitted to the bar in the U.S. years ahead of time and for literally hundreds of thousands of dollars less than you would if you did four years undergrad in US and then three years of law school.
