edit my umichigan supplement??? PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!

When I was younger, I’d spend hours looking into my father’s book of knee surgery; following, I would unplug all of the cables on our television. My curiosity, though it has provoked irritation in my parents at times, is what drives me to explore myself through education.

Though I’m sure no eighteen-year-old has a concrete idea of their future plans, I want to pursue biology. I’m interested in medicine. The human body fascinates me; also, by life experience, I know that I want to help people in my occupation. Pursuing pre-medicine studies is a college track that I’ve been extremely interested in since my freshman year in high school.

My curiosity of medicine, science, and the general world further develops as I apply to college. University of Michigan is my absolute first choice; I will expand my knowledge through innumerable research opportunities, exquisite professors, and wonderful school facilities. University of Michigan will provide me with wonderful internship opportunities and connections, so that my dreams of becoming a Trauma Plastic Surgeon will become a reality.

I’m applying to the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, intending to pursue biology and seek a pre-health advisor. LSA is attractive to me due to its adjacency to the medical campus. The fact that the College is located on the Central campus, connecting students to numerous professional schools, the Shapiro Undergraduate Library, as well as prestigious museums, represents true unity in the campus, which is something that I value in a college. I appreciate that even the title unites three very different areas of study; I know that if my future plans change, I will have a jambalaya of exceptional majors to choose from.

The College of Literature, Science and the Arts will make every task accomplishable. Though the university is a large and public, the intimate advising programs in LSA will cater to the needs and desires I have. I intend to participate in one of the many study abroad programs, with the chance of exploring my passion for service and learning in different countries. Through the Global Academic Program, I’ll have the opportunity to continue to attend courses as I would in Ann Arbor, but would be studying health sciences in the Dominican Republic

Aside from any specific major or school, the University of Michigan represents something much larger to me: a completely new chapter in my life. I will find exhilaration and passion in my education due to the hands-on research opportunities and experiences the University offers. I believe that my education will continue outside of the classroom through the diverse student population, ability to participate in infinite clubs and organizations, and the experience a true sense of unity within the school. Such a community will help me grow more confident in myself as a student and as a young woman, in general.

Wherever my curiosity takes me in my education and in my life, I would be honored to call University of Michigan my home.

What feedback do you have?

Too impersonal. For I all know, this could’ve been written by anyone. You should give more personal experiences that demonstrate your “unique qualities.”

The prompt is this :
“Describe the unique qualities that attract you to the specific undergraduate College or School (including preferred admission and dual degree programs) to which you are applying at the University of Michigan. How would that curriculum support your interests? (500 words maximum)”

I don’t see room for where I can further describe unique qualities about myself. This is asking my what the unique qualities are about LSA that interest me…?

Nvm. Read the question wrong. You could expand on the interests part, relate them to experiences in your life.

Pursuing pre-medicine studies is a college track that I’ve been extremely interested in since my freshman year in high school. At this point, I know that I’d like to be a plastic surgeon. I don’t want to do facelifts or chin implants. Instead, I want to do trauma work. I want to help with deformities, such as the possibility doing pro-bono cleft lip surgeries overseas; I also want to work in the Critical Care Unit to reconstruct faces that have been destroyed in car accidents. I don’t mind the gory stuff.

I added in a couple sentences about myself, added in a little more voice here and there… I’m about 50 words over the limit. What could i cut out? what works??
