Just looked again for the first time (post-submission) to my EA U of M app and noticed in my Why LSA essay I wrote about the “College of Liberal, Science and the Arts” In the first line. (Instead of literature). Overall I would say the essay is very strong and that I am a strong applicant but ?? will this doom me?? are they this petty? ?? (It’s obviously my mistake but. Still)
Please be honest and let me know what you think. I can give you my stats if you really think it will help
LOL. No, calling UMich Liberal will not doom you. It’s pretty Freudian, actually. And kinda funny. A friend of my daughter’s found a typo on his application after the fact…like you…where he listed among his accomplishments that for four years, he’d been a “Meth Tutor” at the school. LOL He got accepted anyway, and no one even called him Jesse Pinkman.
It’ll be ok. It won’t effect the ultimate decision. No worries.
Believe it or not, they realize you guys are incredibly nervous. Won’t be the first funny typo they find that day, I promise.
I don’t think this will negatively affect your chances at all. Really. I am now half convinced I did the same thing (and no way am I checking at this point!) Liberal Arts, Literature and Arts… that’s understandable. Fingers crossed, maybe we will both be admitted to that College of Liberal together soon!
@MaryGJ@angelami@peopleperson1 thank you for your votes of confidence and laughs! The nerves have settled a bit so I feel a little better now. Thanks for your help. Best to all of you!
