Is anyone familiar with colleges that major in education as well as film (major or minor) on the east coast. I have been searching and I am a newbie at this.
Thank you.

This might just be applicable to VA, but I believe that, thanks to No Child Left Behind, you can't actually major in education, but have to minor in it (though you aren't doing any less work!) and then major in what you are going to teach.

I'm not sure about the rules either, but my sister is currently majoring in Early Childhood Education. From her experiences, I know some of the better ones in GA are Berry, Agnes Scott, and West Georgia for education, but I have no idea as to whether any of these have film majors as well.

Could we get some stats to see what level of selectivity would be best?

That being said, Wesleyan and NYU come to mind for film.

This isn't East Coast, but I thought you would consider. You should also consider Northwestern. It has both schools of Education and Communications.
