<p>Don't stress about it. You will take introductory subject courses when you enter college, it's not necessary to read a ton of books in advance. High school was sufficient background knowledge</p>
<p>if you're just looking for books that most people have read in college and you just want to be on the same literary level as most people I can suggest a few.</p>

Catcher in the Rye
Odyessey</p>
