I was admitted to UC San Diego for Electrical Engineering and was wondering what I could expect for the next four years, what I should look out for, and if transferring to a more prestigious UC will do me any good.

There really isn’t a “better” UC than UCSD for EE. There’s a perceived ranking that’s irrelevant to the high performer. Do your best to keep up and don’t have an eye on the door or your competition. It’s about to get real.
