maybe its cause i emailed her five times this summer about schedule changes. but arent they supposed to want to help? and all of her emails are curt and short and they sound mean while the ones to my friend are like nice and sweet and detailed. how am i supposed to survive higj school wih a guidance counselor who hates me? shes also the new golf coach and i was going to try out :(

Well for starters you can shoot a 65 in the next round of your next golf tournament.

If not, I think you’re screwed

I think you may be over-reacting here. Just because her emails “sound” mean doesn’t mean that she actually is in real life. Have you tried making an appointment with her and talking it out? You may find that she doesn’t actually hate your guts. A lot of times, guidance counselors are just over-worked and too busy to answer emails with lengthy responses.

Take that Iron, and blast one right to her face.

nope ive been to see her before to ask her about a summer program. for starters, she took two weeks to honor my request for an appointment, gave me a pass, then when i came to her office at the specified time, she was with some other girl and told me to leave. i was like ***! what should i do about reccomendations and stuff???

I would be ****ed too if some girl e-mailed me 5 times about a freaking schedule change.

This would of been the right decision. What would you of wanted the guidance counselor to do if you were in the same position as the girl already in the office?

Exactly.

Obvious reason is obvious.

ughh shes a GUIDANCE COUNSELOR. they get PAID to help students. five emails isnt that much compared to my overachiever friends who email them every day! idk… all of my other teachers like me… whatever.

My daughter annoyed her college counselor so much her senior year that the counselor reported her to the principal. It did not adversely affect her applications, however. Persistance is a good quality.

Oops–I will now get off the HS forum.
