Would getting a less than desirable score on an AP exam turn colleges off? Or do they not consider it, the same way they ignore sat2 scores outside of your required ones?

You don't have to submit AP scores to colleges. It's mostly self-reported.

Meaning, if you have a good score, it's best to say it. But if you don't, then don't put it down, obviously.

AP scores don't really count towards college admissions.

I hear the scores go on your permanent record though? Wouldn't colleges see that?

It goes on the AP permanent record. So, i think you can send that to them, in which case they would get ALL your scores, or you can self report the ones you to. The thing that looks good, is the college seeing AP XXXX on your transcript. THAT helps admissions.

If you report your AP scores on college applications, they will be considered for admission absolutely.

i heard that collegeboard puts ur ap score on their offical score report (along with ALL of ur sats and subject tests). thats what i heard though, someone please validate it

also i heard that if u choose to cancel a bad score, it will 'strike out' the score, so pretty much colleges will know that u had canceled a disppointing score (3, 2, 1)
