Effective study plan?

Hey guys,

So in June i got a 26 on the ACT. It was my first time testing with minimal prep. Since i’m a rising senior, i plan to take the ACT in sept and if needed oct. I’m trying to get around a 31-32.

My DAILY summer study plan: (3 sections/day+ 1 hour of speed reading/day)

-English (30-31 on practice tests): 1 section/day+review

-Math (31-34): 1 section/day+Review

-Reading (around 23-24): For reading i heard ppl say that practice doesn’t really help much (not sure if true) and i learned from my friend that speed reading courses (such as spreeder.com) help increase reading speed. I just started using spreeder and i plug in like 10-15 articles a day and i speed read them (@ 300 Words per minute). I am planning to increase reading speed to 400 wpm by end of summer.

-Science (23-25): 1 section/day WITHOUT review (heard not useful?)

Is this study plan effective and will it get me into the 30s (maybe 28-30+ for reading and science) for the ACT?
Also does science generally improve with practice or no?
Also does speed reading sites like spreeder substantially improve ACT reading scores?

Thank you guys so much for your help and good luck to everyone preparing for these standardized tests.

Science is very inconsistent but anyone can score well in it. It is all about details and being careful. I think 3 sections a day is overkill and you will most likely burn out of tests, but I like the reading every night part.
