Ok so ive taken a practice act untimed and got a 30 something.

However, when I do them timed i get 25 and 26s.(most recent red book practice test and the very last one in the book was 25 composite) I have improved since my first ACT from April, which was 23 composite score. But I'm trying to get at least a 30. On those recent practice tests, I did the questions quickly. But when I did, specifically for reading and science, I sacrificed accuracy for speed.

I am a slow reader and I subvocalize, which really slows me down in reading. I have seen good tips for reading, but what is the most efficent strategy? Skim passage then read? When I skim the passage, I dont retain much info, and If I read the passage normally, it takes way too long.

For science and math what is the most efficient strategy to do each question quickly and accurately? Ive tried doing science and math as fast as possible but if i do each question on time, again, i end up sacrificing accuracy for speed.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

PS. I must admit though that this is last minute studying; in other words, I should have studied earlier.
Anyway, I just started studying for the ACT at the beginning of this week with me taking 1 practice test and reviewing the answers daily.
