EIT afternoon section: Civil v.s. General

My major is civil engineering and I am registering EIT/FE for the coming April, struggling whether to take Civil or General. To me, they are both sort of same level of difficulty when I did the exercise in the preview manual.

Yet I took Civil last October and I failed while a lot of my friends who took General passed and they said general is easy...Well..perhaps I didn't study enough of Civil to realize its difficulty comparing to general..
I actually wanna study more before I register for this time, but the deadline is coming close..so I need some opinions..

So here comes the questions:
1. Would it be really a disadvantage when finding a civil engineer job without a EIT certificate with Civil specialization?
2. To any of you who major in civil engineer and have taken both, how do you think of their difficulties comparing to each other? don't just throw me the NCEES statistic..

Thanks

An EIT is an EIT. There is no distinction for specialization.
