Elective Credit

What exactly is meant by elective credit?
How much is needed?

Ie: I am receiving elective credit for a number of the AP scores I have. Are there any inherent advantages to this? A tad confused...

it means you get credits that count toward the total number you need to graduate, but they aren’t treated as if you had taken a specific course – some ap scores give you credit for having completed a specific course, others just give you elective credit. the ap credit can also satisfy gen ed requirements.
