In the fall, i will be applying to schools as an economics major, or a business major where it is offered. However, at my school I have taken TONS of electives, including many art classes. I would consider myself to be a rather good artist, and will be taking AP Studio Art next year. Will colleges take my art classes seriously if they see that I am committed to the arts, since i'm taking AP Art? or will they just overlook them like many schools do? I am also curious about the same thing in regards to business electives.

yeah, if you're devoted to one thing and take an AP in it, then its not going to hurt you that much. just make sure you're taking ap econ (and anything else business-related) to see that you're serious about the business thing. and when you send in your college app, it might be helpful to send in some artwork to show them that you didn't just take ap art cause it was so easy.

Bump.......

bumb bump bump

Many of the schools we just visited said they look at ONLY the academic class grades - unless of course you're an art major (they look at your portfolio).
