Electrical Engineering at UCSD

For all of you Electrical Engineers (or those who have frriends that are Electrical Engineers). About how many hours a week do you think one needs to study in order to get an A?

It really depends. For some people, 0 hours is enough to get an A+. For others, it may take many hours to pull off a C+. If you spend your time wisely, and take advantage of free tutoring resources, you can probably do well and study less than an hour a day. What really matters is understanding the material well. Many people make the mistake of just doing the homework and just passing the tests. It's extremely important to understand what you're doing. Once you do, the work is a piece of cake. The hard part is getting there.

That sounds pretty damn amazing o.o;;

Well, I was wondering. If I study about 1-2 hours a day, will that be sufficient? (Not including homework of course)

Well Mr. Slorg/genius, I think few people could actually pull off great grades with less than an hour of work a day...remember, you are surrounded by the smartest people in Warren. Normal people don't have it as easy as you. :p But ya, once you understand the material it's easy, however that's not usually too easy to do, especially in under an hour a day.

I was wondering, is EE considered an impacted major at UCSD?

^nope but there's a minimum GPA u need to get during your lower division years in order to stay in.
