Electronic Vs Paper Fafsa??

Has anybody noticed that the online Fafsa asks more questions than the paper version? Which would be more advantagous to send?

I hadn't noticed that. Which questions are new?

in electronic fafsa, can u start anytime and change anytime ? i meant like is it saved once u start it in ur account?

Questions on parent's/students divendends, ira deductions etc.

Yes you can save your answers and come back on the electronic fafsa. In addition once you have your pin any changes corrections are processed and back to you within about 3 days

Many schools are trying to eliminate the use of the paper FAFSA. A lot of schools still accept it; however, they are trying to get rid of it. At Boston University, they strongly recommend filling out the FAFSA and CSS Profile online. They're is a paper version of both, but it is much easier to process online. It might even be advantageous to you because electronic application are faster to process, where as paper applications can take up to 6-8 weeks. When I worked at a Financial Aid Office for a community college, they took all of the paper applications and entered all of the information online anyway. They basically did it whenever they felt like it, and that is why the process took so long (in my opinion). So, if you enter the information electronically yourself, then it's like you skip a step that could be delaying your decision. Despite all the redundancy, I hope this was helpful.
