Hey everyone. I’m sure this question has been asked repeatedly, but I need to ask it for myself. This week I have to decide my schedule for my senior year in high school; however, I am conflicted on whether I should continue Spanish. I am currently at Spanish IV in my junior year, but I have completed ONLY 3 YEARS of Spanish in high school. I would much rather pursue an additional AP Math class or Science elective (Statistics/Anatomy/Astronomy) because these courses pertain directly to my intended field of study. I really want to go to an elite institution like the Ivies, Duke, Vandy etc. but these schools recommend 4 years. Will I be at a disadvantage because I didn’t take 4 years?
Also, I will be receiving a certificate from a organization that proves my proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in my native language. Spanish is my 3rd language.
Thanks
