Elks most valuable student finalists!!

<p>Anyone out there a state finalisits for the Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student scholarship? I am one of 25 for my state, and I don't want to wait another 2 months to find out nationally haha

<p>Yeah i am in the same boat --I am wondering if by being winners at the state level, are we guaranteed a prize at the national level (since 500 scholarships are given out)?</p>

the letter says that there are 25 finalists from my state, and i looked on the webite and last year there were 25 people from my state to win the 1000/yr. so maybe we will get it, but they just cant tell us officially yet?
i'm crossing my fingers because i reallllllllly could use this :-)</p>

<p>We only got money at the local level - $1500. We got a letter saying her app went to districts, then we got a letter saying it went to state - neither of those had any $$ attached apparently...</p>

<p>i think it all varies by what state/district etc. you are from, because i advanced to national but did not receive any money on local, district, or state level that i know of. i thought we might get something for advancing past state, but right now i am worried i might not get anything :(</p>

<p>interesting...i really hope what that website implies is right, even though there was no mention of any money in my letter. maybe they're not allowed to tell us anything on the record until may?? either way, thanks for finding that!!!</p>
