Elm or Mcmahon?

Which dorm would you recommend? I know both have their own restraunts, Elm has a gym, any other advice/info?

And which has the better food/rooms/bathrooms? thanks :)

ps i visited uw yesterday and it's beautiful! makes me even more excited to be going there

Well, that depends on how much you intend to pay for housing. Btw, you should see UW when it’s warm and sunny…amazing!

Elm: newer, more expensive, amazing rooms (doubles and singles), more space, personal bathroom, Cultivate, closer access to the Ave and other west campus dorms and their amenities like Alder Market, West Campus

McMahon: older, less expensive, good rooms (4 doubles in each cluster, walk-in closets), less space in each room (common area for each cluster), one bathroom per cluster (multiple stalls and a shower), The 8 (a cafeteria of mini-restaurants), closer access to the IMA/University Village/Greek Row and other North Campus dorms and amenities (Rick’s ice cream at Haggett), North Campus

Mochi wrapped it up pretty well. I just want to add that McMahon also has a fitness center inside, although it’s smaller than Elm’s. There are about 4 ellipticals, 1 or 2 treadmills, and 1 or 2 stationary bikes (if I recall correctly.) I worked out there a few times and didn’t have trouble getting a machine; when I went, it was either empty or there was one other person.
