Hey. My decision is pretty much between these schools. I got into Elon with a $4000 scholarship and I'm hoping to get into one of the fellows programs. I'm an instater for UD and I'm pretty sure I got into the Honors program. Both are equal in my mind, so I'm having a hard time deciding.
If anyone could compare the two to help me out, that would be great.
Thanks. :)

Hi - visited both campuses with my son 2 years ago - he ended up applying to Elon, but not Delaware, so I guess you can tell which we preferred! But certainly, if you are in-state, Delaware might be the best option, depending on how important cost is to you. We liked Elon better because the class sizes are much smaller - I believe Delaware has more of the large lecture hall type classes. We also felt Elon had more housing and more modern amenities, and that the Elon campus was more attractive. Delaware was a much larger campus - I remember taking a shuttle bus from the athletic center up to the main part of campus for the tour. It also had busy streets running right alongside the campus. Elon is a much more suburban campus. That being said, Delaware had great school spirit, from what we observed. I think you also have to consider your intended major - and which school has stronger programming in that area. Sometimes the larger university will be better, particularly if you have a more offbeat choice of major. Good luck with your decision.
