UDel vs Elon?

My D is struggling to decide between UDel and Elon to study education. Any feedback is appreciated.

We have a child at each institution, a son at UD and a daughter at Elon. Both are really enjoying their experience. Neither is an education major. The universities are quite different in size. What are your D’s outside interests, her personality? Will she be in the Honors program? What is she looking for in a school?

UD is a major Research Univeristy (including the Education Department) and as such has the availability of research involvement if you are interested in this. The Education Graduate School at UD is ranked 37th in the country by USN&WR in their 2014 rankings and UD’s Education Department is very highly regarded in the academic community. I know UD education graduates are very highly regarded by the school systems in at least DE, MD, NJ, NY, and PA. While UD is a medium to large school (about 16,000 undergrads) the way it is laid out makes it feel a lot smaller. It does offer an extensive array of social/athletic/academic activities at a level more commonly associated with much larger universities. Hope this info is helpful.
