ELWR

Hello

I was just given a date to take the ELWR. I got a 34 on the ACT English section but I did not send in the score because my SAT score was higher than my composite ACT score. A score of 30 satisfies the UC entry level writing exam. Should I know send in my ACT scores or just take the exam?

Up to you, but I would not pay the $110 for the APWE and just pay the $12 to have the ACT sent instead.

Looks as if they are also accepting a 680 or higher on the Evidenced-Based Reading and Writing of the SAT. Do you qualify based on that?

In order not to take the exam, the UC has to have received the record that exempts you before April 1.

@Gumbymom Because UCs require all scores to be sent and I did not send in all my scores, will sending this one affect my admission?

I do not think sending the ACT would effect your admission but it does reflect negatively in that you did not adhere to the requirements. If you feel better about taking the exam , then you should take it.

It is too late to send the ACT for ELWR because the April 1 deadline has passed. Did your SAT qualify you?
