<p>I got an e-mail from UChicago asking me to come to an information session at some high school in Cleveland (can't remember the name off the top of my head).</p>
<p>I just wanna know how they got my information (haven't taken the SAT or applied to UChicago yet; although I have filled out the SAT information and I WILL apply to Chicago).</p>
<p>Also does this mean I have a higher chance for admission, or is it just a ploy?</p>
<p>Ploy most likely. You will soon learn that UChicago is big on reaching out to students. They will send you many emails but they are very interesting and inspirational. You would be amazed how much info colleges can get about you.</p>
<p>It does not mean you have a higher chance of admission (sorry), but they could have gotten your email from the PSAT or any college websites you have signed up for.</p>
<p>(I’m guessing this because after I signed up for a website where I had to put all my stats in, Princeton emailed me… and then sent me like 100000 packets lol)</p>
