it was identical to crosscurrent's.

Anybody get an email similar to waterberry's email?

I got that email as well. Hope it means I got in!

Is there anyone who KNOWS they haven't sent the PFAA and didn't get the email?

libra, what are your stats?

Same topic, different question. P has received PFAA. Does anyone know if we should send in our tax forms now or wait until we hear from P whether or not to send in tax forms. The website states to have the tax forms in by March 15th. I have sent an email to P regarding this (no response yet), but wondered if anyone else already has the answer.

To zimmywu:

First-gen URM (African-American), 2190 SAT (770 CR, 620 M, 800 W), tons of unique EC's, essay showed strong interest in volunteerism abroad...overall well-qualified I suppose.

Anything more specific you want to know? Did you get an email?

I didn't send the PFAA and I haven't received an email. However, I never intended to apply for financial aid in the first place and I don't think that this email indicates anything.

libra, you seem like a good candidate for Princeton. No, I didn't get any email.

If you never intended to apply then you won't get that email. There was box to check in the application if you wanted to apply for FA. Infact, if you read waterberry's email it says that.

@atg4ever: I would like to know this too. Since it said we needed to send them the tax forms by March 15th but I didnt get an email regarding this....

shru...I just send everything in yesterday since I had everything all packaged anyway for other schools. I figured sooner or later they would need it if accepted. One less thing to worry about. I had a similar case with GW and they told to go ahead and send it in now.

@atgforever: Oh well, I might as well send it in now then. Have to get another set of documents packaged then...... But it aint too late I hope :) Thanks!

Since they do say March 15th on their website, it is not too late.

Thanks again!

For anyone still interested, I received word today from Princeton to please send in all tax forms and supporting docs before March 15th.

Thought I'd put my two cents in. Logically speaking, it would be quite a task for the Financial aid office to track every application--I think they wouldn't bother to track an application unless they have been alerted by the admission office. Would be pointless to track every aid applicant when they know only a handful -- would be admitted? I think what goes on is this: after the admissions read a file and calls for admit, they would alert the financial aid office that so and so has been admitted and has indicated that he/she is applying for financial aid...

I would like to think that since I was alerted.

Princeton would never be able to admit this practice since it would lead to students failing to submit the PFAA in order to learn of admission ahead of time...But I suppose our graduating class will be able to uncover this secret, if these estimations turn out to be correct.

Fingers crossed!

And so far we don't have evidence of anyone not doing the pfaa AND not getting the email AND having checked the "yes for financial aid" box in the application.
Those who haven't received the email seem to have indicated that they would not apply for financial aid.

Lets not read too much into this. One step at a time. No sense in getting too excited.
