Email on missing PFAA

Congradulation for all of you who received the request for missing financial information, I would say you are in and I am currently a 2010 students....

Thnx Alice! I'd rather not get my hopes up for my S. Princeton would be absolutely fabulous for him. We loved the campus, even though our visit was on a very cold rainy day, visited some of the musts as stated in another thread, and spoke with some great current students.

Hmm... Maybe I shouldnt have submitted the PFAA then :(

I'm still skeptical, but receiving early congratulations from P-ton students isn't helping matters! haha.

I'm really sorry CCers, but I know how it feels having high hopes and getting them crushed. I definitely did not get into Princeton and I got the FA email. I am confident of my rejection because I haven't met the requirements to the major I was applying to at PU (3 SAT 2s - one in chemistry). And, I do know they do not accept people for engineering who do not fill the necessary criteria. Sorry - but it really hurts when you think you're going to get in and the next day, you see a rejection letter on your kitchen table. I wish you guys all the best - may you get into the college of your choice!

btw i got what crosscurrent got:

We understand from the Admission Office that when you applied for admission, you indicated an interest in applying for financial aid. We are writing to let you know that we have not yet received a Princeton Financial Aid Application (PFAA) associated with the above e-mail address. However, if you submitted the PFAA with a different e-mail, you can disregard this message.

In the event you have not completed the form, you may still apply for financial aid. Information about the application process and access to the on-line application can be found at this link Princeton University | Apply for Financial Aid .

It is not necessary to reply to this e-mail if you have decided you will not apply for aid.

Thank you,

Princeton University

As I said before, lets not get our hopes up yet.

I just got a likely letter from Duke, which helps assuage my Princeton anxiety a bit! (duke being my #2 pick, princeton my #1)

helpneeded: I'll be curious to learn what their admission decision is for you when that day rolls around... because I doubt that your rejection is 100% certain, and if you're not accepted, you could be at least waitlisted.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high - not that this thread is helping in that regard :P - but I received the FA reminder, and I think I have a pretty good shot of getting in: I would be a strong candidate anyway, but I am also a legacy, and my interview was awesome. When I received the FA reminder, my first thought was that it would be a huge waste of time/resources to track down the status of obvious rejects. They were also very persistent; I received two emails AND a letter.

Padfoot...way to go, congratulations. Duke is a great school, just up the rode from us. You will not go wrong there. Personally, the weather is much nicer here even in the winter.

Thank you! Like I said earlier, our class will be a testament to the validity (or alternately, inaccuracy) of this FA theory.

I think atg4ever has the right attitude, though.

eChang, what did your email or letter say?

My 2nd (most recent) email was the one posted by the OP; my 1st was the other. The letter was a duplicate of one of the two versions.

i also received both PFAA emails a little over a week ago. but i don't know how strong of a princeton applicant I am...i was deferred from yale early, if that helps you judge at all.

i think the PFAA is sorted independently from the application, so I REALLY don't think the FA letters are indicators of our admission in any way. : (

harry potter would curse me for not believin'

I got the same alert with crosscurrent's on Feb23rd. Then I replied saying that I DID apply for aid in Jan using the Same email. Then the Associate Director of PFAA office replied to me saying he would confirm. And there had been some exchange of emails addressing the problem. At last I recieved the confirmation from the Associate Director mentioned above.
P.S Really cannot hold my hopes high. But now I cannot help trembling. Cross fingers!
P.S.2 I'm an international living outside the States.

I just found my email was NOT EXACTLY the same with crosscurrents.
It's like:

Wow I forwarded that message to my dad when I got it (February 22nd), and he just now completed the PFAA. Is that bad?

Well i never got 3 emails and i got what wanderinghelen said

but anyway - my stats aren't even near p'tons average

Yea, I don't think it means anything anymore. Too many kids on CC would be accepted.

I don't think it means anything. i got three e-mails like that too and Princeton is a high high high reach for me:) but good luck everyone!!!!!
