Email or call?

I applied ED earlier this week only to realize today that I didn't send in my signed ED Form. For some reason, I thought that checking the ED box off on the Common App. was sufficient. Then I got some sleep and looked over everything this weekend and...I felt like a moron. I'm not sure if I'm eligible or not anymore since it's past the deadline. If I still might be considered for admittance, though, I'd like to contact the Admissions Office to send in the form. From any of your experience, would it be better to call or send an email?

I still feel really stupid about this. It was just a crazy week.

Email and then send the form. It'll be fine, I promise :)

It's a minor brain cramp. As SmithieGR says, e-mail and then send it in.

By the way, how are things with that fascinating Mr. Holmes that was so taken by you?

I think everything's all right now-- I can log in and see what materials I'm missing, and I've stalked down my counselor (yet again) to send things in that he apparently "forgot." I freaked out a little when I went online and saw that there was more missing than the one sheet I originally thought. At this point, I think I just need to stop thinking about college for a bit until the 15th rolls around...

:) Thanks and cookies to everyone in this forum that helps out!

Oh, and one more question. I've heard that a lot of schools send out email notifications before "snail mail." Does Smith email before the 15th? (I'm already being hypocritical about not thinking about this...)

TheDad: Oh, you know, he's very fickle. For someone as clever as he, Mr. Holmes really doesn't seem to know what exactly he wants!
;)

IA, I think that Mr. Holmes in general views women as a nuisance and distraction and couldn't quite come to terms with his interest in you. But you have to admit, at least he's not like all those "needy" guys out there. Btw, will you be joining the fencing team if admitted to Smith?

Don't know about ED notification...good luck.

That is very true, although I have a pet theory that if he lay off of the cocaine a bit he might be able to get certain priorities in order. ;) He does have a nice sense of masculine pride, though.

If admitted, I would really love to try my hand at fencing for the school!

No problem-- I guess I'll just see. It'll be a busy week, so if I get an early email I might not even see it before a letter comes!

just received an email.
It said that decision will be mailed next Wednesday.

I beleive that last fall we discovered that you can also log into bannerweb and see if you've been accepted there.

When I applied ED (way back when in 2004) they did not do phone or email or online notification, you just had to wait for your letter. Oh how things change.

I just got the email yesterday, too! I think I'll probably wait for the letter instead of checking on Wednesday. Finding out online just seems really anticlimactic and...lame. I don't know. I'm kind of old fashioned about things like this, I guess. ;)

Good luck to everyone!

Since I can't gain access to bannerweb at home, maybe I will just wait for the mail. But I don't think i can wait any longer. :)Will they send the decision via email?

i don't think they send it via email. You should be able to access bannerweb at home, if you don't have a login name or password, you could ask the admissions office for one.

They emailed me the information for the bannerweb site-- they wanted me to check it along the way to make sure all of my paperwork was in, so I've been there a few times. I'm glad they don't just send an email, though, since I'd probably accidentally delete it or something.

Thanks for the heads up, though!

there are some problems with the Internet within my area. Maybe I shall ask somebody to check it for me
