This might come across as silly, but I would still like you hear your thoughts about it.
Is sending emails to admissions offices in regarding of your application process - whether it’s asking questions or making sure of the things that are required from an applicant - can in any way affect the chances for later admission?
If you have a real question that can’t be answered on-line then ask the question. Don’t ask questions that are easily answered by reading the website. These are busy people and they will be annoyed and think you are lazy.
It might annoy them, and that will negatively affect your chance of admission. Of course, there are some good reasons to email, but be sure you’re doing so for one of them.
