<p>Are they nice email addresses or is it like Smith<em>J</em><a href="mailto:334320@cornell.edu">334320@cornell.edu</a><a href="assuming%20it's%20the%20first%20person%20with%20that%20name">/email</a>.</p>

<p>Not always middle initial. I have a middle name, but my email only has my first and last initials for some reason. Not that it really matters.</p>

<p>my cornell alumnus interviewer dude.... his middle name begins with a y so his email came out to be <em>yk@cornell.</em>edu</p>

<p>yea they really are. you have my email so you know im not lying.</p>
<p>they give you 1 to 3 numbers after your initials, depending on how many people have the same initials as you. even professors have email addys in that same format.</p>
<p>i think its just the number of ppl w/ those initials. if i'm the 7th AMS i'll be <a href="mailto:ams7@cornell.edu">ams7@cornell.edu</a> and if there are like 58 of them before me i'll be <a href="mailto:ams59@cornell.edu">ams59@cornell.edu</a>. Oh yeah and they come in early june i think.</p>

<p>my middle initial begins with an "X" ... can we request them to leave out the middle inital? my "firstinitial+lastname" is kind of a catchy nickname i've taken on, and with the "X" in the middle, nah that doesn't really cut it</p>
<p>yeah, but that X in the middle almost guarantees that you want have numbers with your email. is your middle name xavier</p>
