Emails/Communication after Applying

I’m curious to know if after you completed your application for admission if you received any communication from UofSC other than the email saying your application was received? I’m trying to gauge if this is an indication that admission will be denied. She is out-of-state. For other colleges that she applied to she would often receive emails asking to come visit, postcards, letters, or reminders about FAFSA and for UofSC there has not been anything. Would love to know if they are keeping in touch more with other applicants and if it’s an indicator of acceptance/denial? Thanks in advance and best of luck to all who applied!

My daughter applied EA for USC, and didn’t receive a ton of information in-between applying and receiving acceptance. I wouldn’t read it one way or another. She also applied to Miami and we had virtually no communication at all other than to acknowledge her app, and she was accepted there as well.

I received an invitation to a "special luncheon"before I received my acceptance letter, which was a few days ago, and had no contact or anything with them after submitting my application. Sometimes they’re slow sending acceptance letters out. I’m instate, about 45 mins away, and I suppose we recieved letters first so hopefully you’ll recieve yours soon.

Not a lot of communication from USC before or even after acceptance…

We are OOS and not a lot of communication here either other than one flyer that came a few days after the acceptance. I wouldn’t read anything into it one way or another. Hope you get good news soon.

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll let you all know the outcome come the week of March 14.

I got a phone call today. Lasted about 45 seconds

@mattC412 what did they call you about?!

To ask if I was still considering coming and if I ha any questions. Basic stuff

We are also OOS and didn’t receive much communication; I think there was maybe one flyer between the time my daughter sent in her application and the acceptance letter. She did get a second “welcome” letter right after the official acceptance but that is it. I guess I would not read anything into it either way. It seems like one of those schools that doesn’t flood people with mailings unlike a few other places my daughter applied.
