EMBA(executive) vs MBA

hi wats the difference b/w these programs???

Usually people who take EMBA programs are older people who are already manager-level and plan on remaining at their companies during and after school. Most people in those programs will be at least in their mid-30s and often older.

I agree with alicantekid. In addition, I would point out that it's a pretty poor fit if you're relatively young (i.e. in your 20's) and don't have good managerial experience. The fact is, much of the MBA experience is the networking, and if you have little in common with your classmates, your networking experience is going to be poor.

okay,thanks a ton...

btw cud u also tell me how much work ex (assuming being employed in reputed companies) is generally reqd to gain admission to the each of the following MBA programs-

INSEAD-
Oxford(Said),LBS-
Wharton,HBS,Stanford etc-

thanks

In general schools look for 3-5 years of work experience.

what about work experience during college? (say u have a long term internship)

I know many people who, after completing their undergrad studies, were accepted into Said and/or Wharton. However, they held jobs as interns in big name companies during their undergrad summer.

cacjr, how bout if i am an intern with morgan stanley(india)?i kno work ex isnt measured in numbers but approximately how many years after undergrad then??

btw im heading to NUS...
