Emergency - FA deadline...should I just give up?

Hey guys! Okay I'll make this quck...

It is a very long, complicated, and boring story but I decided about a week ago to apply to Cornell due to certain events (I always wanted to apply but decided not to due to certain information...but it turns out the info was false)

I have been scrambling to get the applications done and finished them except for one thing....

The FA forms that are due tonight!
Those take hours to complete and require all the necessary information at hand...I really don't think i have the time to do that last minute

So should I just not even bother submitting my application tonight? Is Cornell lenient on the financial aid deadline if everything else is submitted?? (probably unlikely right?)

any advice, suggestions are much appreciated -thanks!

ONE MORE QUESTION: I received an email saying if forms are submitted by tonight, the fees are waived...how do we show that on the common app? do we just not pay?

Cornell’s admissions and financial aid offices are separate.

Even if you don’t turn in financial aid on time, it bears nothing on your admissions application.

The financial aid forms, while due a few days ago, are still being accepted and the packages will still be given to late-comers.

Wow, it is extremely confusing hearing different information everyday - students from my school agreed the deadline is today as well as several CCers but you could be right…I will call office to double check though!

I’m one of those nervous applicants with sticks up their butts which is why I was freaking out about this haha but thanks chendrix! I’ll submit it now

Send both, it can’t hurt

I thought FA deadline was tomorrow…does the entire CSS profile have to be filled out?

On the College Board website, it says that the Cornell CSS profle is due on January 5th. Conflicting info? I sent in my CSS stuff already, but not the actual FA application. Aghhhhhh

yeah, I’ve been hearing different information from everybody…
I didn’t have time to call the admissions office today so I’ll try tomorrow.
Honestly, I guess that as long as we submit everything else in (common app, supplements, recs, etc.) and we submit the financial forms a little late, it shouldn’t be too big of a deal…

but I’ll double check tomorrow and get back to you guys

Honestly Cornell is asking this really early mainly so people get things in on time. As long as you get it in by the end of this month or within the following weeks you should be fine…Stupid Cornell.
