Okay, so I have an essay due tomorow, and...apparently I have no thesis statement=no essay for that matter?

Our teacher read the first paragraph of our rough draft and told us what to revise: On mine she wrote: "A Start, but push it further-what is Allende trying to say, then?"

My original thesis was something like: The way the public views the motives of characters x, x, and x, is in direct opposition to their private life and what their motives actually are.

I added: the way one is viewed in public life has no baring on the way one actuallly is.

Is this enough? Is my essay ruined? Ack! What should I do? Sorry if this makes no sense, am stressed out of my mind..and has to be done by midnight, as I have to submit it to turnitin.com. Help!!

By the way, the book is House of the Spirits by Isable Allende, in case anyone wonders.
