<p>I really need some help forming a thesis for my senior Brit. Lit thesis paper.
My topic is George Orwell's 1984. My teacher rejected my thesis saying that it wasnt arguable. I really need help coming up with an arguable thesis as my outline is due in two days and I dont even have a thesis. Any help would be really appreciated. </p>

<p>my original thesis was about how the world was gradually turning into the society described by Orwell in 1984 and how severa aspects of the Oceaniac society were already reflected in the world today. For example, how the patriot act has given the gov. power to establish surveillance and the prisoners in guatanamo bay.</p>

<p>Maybe you could take the Party's slogan "Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past" and argue if you think it's true or not. </p>
