People applying from UAE, ED and taking November tests pleased respond!! How are you guys gonna get scores to penn in Time? :O test is ONLY ON 19TH!!! :'(

chill out. you obviously haven’t browsed penn.edu enough

OMG Im not gonna sweat it MR/ Miss. But please STOP makin assumptions. You irk me.

Best email Penn and see their reply. Personally, seeing that the score will arrive like what? in 19/20 days…so thats like the 9th of dec…and decisions normally come out on 11th/12thish, i dont see much chance of scores being considered. However, if you are one of those borderline students… then yeah it could make a difference. It’s unfortunate that’s the case for you, and something like that is purely beyond your control. Nonetheless, there’s always regular decision.

to sum it up- EMAIL PENN!

@ PeterGriffin- I did email Penn. And here’s what they said :

Thank you for your e-mail. We are aware of the SAT testing conflicting with the Muslim holiday and are working to be sensitive to the situation. Although we do accept November testing for students applying Early Decision to Penn, we expect that most EDP applicants will not be taking the SAT for the first time in November.
You can still apply early, but we cannot guarantee that those SAT scores will arrive on time. You can indicate on your application that you will be sitting for the November testing and we will be considerate of the circumstances.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our office.

Best,
International Admissions

Now the thing is I will be taking the Math subject test for the first time and My english litreature test for the 2nd time. BOTH ARE VERY CRUCIAL :(

I guess the admissions do have a fair point about not leaving the first time testing till november but its a risk your taking i suppose if u still apply ED…There is always RD…but i knw, if you’re mega passionate about one college…it’s hard to give it up and stuff. What’s your second choice? Cuz like, i dont know…im just saying* not having that score in time COULD break your application (but then again, its just ONE score…and there is more to an app than just SATs :P)…and now you don’t want htat happening…so your chances defo seem better in RD that way. Nonetheless, it really goes down to ur inituition and what you feel is right and best! Good luck :)
