Emergency! Please help!

Maybe I'm blowing this out of proportion...but I seriously have no idea what to think at this point.

I gave my guidance counselor 2 forms to send to two schools...Johns Hopkins University and University of Notre Dame ED and EA repsectively.

However, it turns out that my g.c. sent the forms to the wrong schools...she sent JHU to Notre Dame and the Notre Dame one to Hopkins. So Hopkins called the school today...but I have no idea on the details...arg!

What am I supposed to do at this point? My G.C. said she would call Notre Dame and tell them to send the forms to the other school...and the same thing to Hopkins probably.

Does this ruin my admissions chances? I have a feeling that Notre Dame can now infer that it is not my first choice. Of course, it is my 2nd choice -- the reason I applied EA.

Any Thoughts?

Is Notre Dame single choice ED? If so, then you're in trouble since an EA application elsewhere voids the agreement.

If you're still in good standing, then do NOT trust the schools to send each other the correct forms. Have your gc send them out again herself, FedEx, along with a letter explaining the mix-up.

i agree with momwaitingfornew, don't depend on the colleges (just like you did on your GC =P) make sure you guidance counselor sends it correctly and/or maybe make them write a letter or something saying that it was their fault for the mix up (this maybe a little harsh on your GC though lol)

Notre Dame is simply EA..not single choice.

I suppose I would like her to send a letter...but I want to stay in good standing with her...she didn't even apologize to me.
