Hello all, I am a current student at a state university seeking to transfer into Penn. Penn fascinates me for a variety of reasons. I was wondering if any current Penn students could give me more insight into how Penn's spanish department is different from all the other ivy leagues and top school! Are there any specific programs, curriculms, etc?

Please let me know!!!

I posted a similar post before b/c I am also interested in polsci, but I am also intriguted by their spanish department. Any students please let me know!

Being an ivy league school, I’m sure Penn’s spanish department is good… probably “decent” at the worst case scenario.

In the National Research Council (NRC) rankings of graduate programs in the 1990s (very highly respected academic rankings), Penn’s Spanish program was ranked #6 in the US:

In general, Penn’s language departments are very highly ranked and regarded.
