Urgent - Spanish help UPenn!!

Hi all,

I am applying as a transfer candidate into Penn. At my school, we refer to our Spanish major as simply a Spanish major. I obviously mentioned the differences between my Spanish program and Penn's Spanish program. However, my supplement essay read that I intend to major in "Spanish" rather than saying what Penn calls "Hispanic studies". In my mind, when I submitted the application, it meant one and the same. Spanish is spanish. From talking to Penn students, they categorized the program as Spanish rather than Hispanic studies, so I thought it would be fine to put Spanish. Could I possibly be rejected for putting Spanish rather than Hispanic Studies???? I know I am over thinking things...but I hope to hear from you guys!

It won’t hurt your chance I think. It’s only a minor issue, if you have a clear and convincing essay.
