This is my first time here so I'm not sure if this has been answered but after looking through 30 something pages I decided I would just ask :)

From past experiences, how does Emerson College notify you on the early action admissions decision? I know its on December 15th but I was just wondering if they do it by email, on their applicant homepage, or by mail on that exact date?

Thanks for any help you can give! Emerson is my first choice by a mile so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!

Somewhere (on the Emerson web site, I think) I read that they “mail” the decision on the 15th, so I assume it’s a letter that they mail on the 15th. My son is also holding his breath for that letter.

The Emerson website says “on or around December 15th”.

I’ve been in contact with my Emerson Admissions Director since I started the application process (since I too, am desperately waiting this decision). I emailed them over the weekend and they responded yesterday letting me know that they’re mailing decisions “at the end of this week”. (I assume thats either Thursday or Friday)
So check the mail Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday!
As far as I know, they do not post decisions online.

Are you waiting for BA Acting or BFA Musical Theater? I guess if it is the BA program, they will also let you know about the second choice major acceptance at the same time

From the college web site:
Admission decisions for completed Fall 2010 Early Action applicants will be made available online on December 14, 2009 at 1:00pm EST. The Application Status page will provide a link where you will be able to view the same admission decision that was mailed to you. Most Early Action admission decisions were mailed on December 11, 2009.

We received a “fat” envelope in the mail today, but my daughter won’t get home from work until tonight. Might a deferral still warrant a fat package (to ensure continued interest)?

My daughter just called home from work and begged me to open and read her the letter. The fat envelope yielded a broad smile! She’s bouncing off walls. I doubt she’ll be very effective at work the rest of the day.
