Im thinking about applying here and was wondering if you guys could anwser my questions

What are the dorms like?
What are the dorm bathrooms like?
What is the food like?
Are the girls snooty or down to earth?
What are the academics like?
What factors are most important when applying?

Thanks so much!

Hey Again. Does anyone have any info about the school?

Thanks

Hey! Did you apply? I just got accepted and can answer some of your questions - if you’re still interested…?!

The dorms are nice - during you’re interview they ask questions that will help them pick who you’re roommate will be. The rooms had nice space and a good desk and closet. I didn’t see the bathrooms :(

Emma is the first fair trade high school in the US - this means they get a lot of their food from local markets and farmers. Also, they have great kitchen facilities and can accommodate me - I’m lactose intolerant!

The girls are completely original and not at all snooty, contrary to the vibe you get from their facilities. The buildings are extremely nice and kept in great conditions - they are also carved stone and really very striking. It’s how you would imagine a school in England looking. The academics seem very challenging - haven’t seen enough to tell you all about them. The teachers rock. Emma has a huge array of classes though, dance is even incorporated in the schedule!

When applying, just remember to stay true to who you are and be honest. They have great people there and are very attentive. Try to visit to get the feel for Emma. What grade are you applying for? ----- Hope this helped! Good luck!

Hey! Thanks so much! You really helped! I won’t apply until next year for 9 th grade but I figured I should start finding out some stuff about a couple of schools. Do you know anything about the financial aid at Emma?? Thanks again!!

Yes! Emma is well known for their endowment per student. I believe 53% of the girls are on aid - varying degrees though - and the staff is happy to help anyone who needs it. Also, next year they are putting into affect the Emma Willard’s Bicentennial scholarship. I think the school pays ¾ of tuition for all four years to the one student who qualifies…how are you’re grades? If you’re a good student and have an open mind they will really like you!

Emma Willard is all about girls being creative and original - they have the best vibes! Their athletics and arts are seriously jamming and the academics seem great. Anything else? Hehe ;)

Hey!! Thanks so much!! What kind of questions do they ask during the interview?? Thanks again!!
